Player Bio: Lindstrom played his high school football at Shepherd Hill High School in Dudley, Mass. It's no surprise that he ended up playing on the offensive line for Boston College. His father, Chris Lindstrom Sr. is in the Boston College Hall of Fame as an O-lineman and went on to play for three seasons in the NFL. Chris Junior's younger brother Alex was a fellow lineman for Boston College too. Chris Lindstrom Jr. is widely considered one of the most athletic interior linemen in the draft and racked up a number of honors during his college career, including All-ACC First-Team and Third-Team Associated Press All-American.

#75 Chris lindstrom vs. Miami (2018)

Strengths: Lindstrom would be a very safe pick because he has no glaring flaws in his overall game and no red flags in terms of off the field behavior. He is considered especially well-suited to the zone blocking scheme the Rams feature, so in that regard, he would be a perfect fit. A smart player who will do his job and not make stupid mistakes. Remarkably athletic for an interior lineman, Lindstrom moves well laterally and gets off the ball quickly. He also picks up blitzes well and excels as a run-blocker. A robust, technically sound player who plays through the whistle and usually wins his one on one battles. An experienced player with the genetics and background that should prepare him well for the NFL. Considered a "plug and play' guy who could start immediately.

Weaknesses: There is some question about Lindstrom's versatility, with some scouts holding the opinion that he is strictly a guard, others thinking the couple plays tackle or center if needed (he did play some tackle at BC). While Lindstrom is certainly not weak, he can be overpowered at times by more massive defensive lineman. The lineman does not have the size of a massive "road-grader" interior lineman.

Draft Grade: 5.92

Draft Projection:  1st Round

Does He Fit?:  If the Rams are looking specifically for someone to replace Rodger Saffold at guard, Chris Lindstrom Jr. could be a perfect choice. His skill set also meshes well with the zone-blocking scheme favored by the Rams offensive line. There is some question as to whether he will be available when the Rams pick at 31 in the first round, and he pretty likely will be gone by the third round when the Rams pick again (barring a trade).
