Player Bio: Christian Wilkins played high school football at Framingham H.S. in Framingham, MA before transferring to Suffield Academy in Suffield, CT. He logged 28.5 sacks and 253 tackles in high school and was rated a five-star recruit coming out of high school. Chose Clemson University, where he started as a freshman and made the Football Writers of America All-Star team as a sophomore. Wilkins play an integral part in a storied ClemsonTigers defensive unit that will estimate sending multiple players to the 2019 NFL Draft. Wilkins, widely considered as one of the top defensive linemen in the country and a likely first-round selection in next week's draft

Strengths: Versatile player who could play anywhere on a defensive line in either a 4-3 or 3-4 alignment. Excellent athleticism, especially for a man his size. Intelligent player who got his degree in only two and a half years. Good lateral movement and surprising agility. Able to drop into coverage in zone-blitz schemes. Can knock down passes, having batted down 15 passes in his time at Clemson. He gets good leverage in battles with an offensive lineman. As a team leader, has a reputation as a good citizen and a positive locker-room presence Has played well in big games in college, including the national championship game

Weaknesses: Had trouble when facing double teams in college. Does not have what some would consider ideal length. Despite Wilkins size, some question his lower body strength. As with all players who are surrounded by elite-level talent (as he was at Clemson), there are questions about whether he will be as dominant when the players around him are not far superior to opposing teams.
