Player Bio: Vosean Joseph prepped at Norland High School in Miami, Florida. He was one of the top linebacking prospect and top 100 high school players on Rival list out the state of Florida. His senior year, he recorded 97 tackles, seven sacks, and five forced fumbles before missing the final two games of the season. Joseph received scholarship offers from Maryland, Pittsburgh, Oregon State, and Miami. However, during his junior year, he gave Florida a verbal and upholding his promise by signing with them the following year. He was named to Florida's 2015 All-State 6A First Team, and also played on the 2016 U.S. Under-19 National Team in the International Bowl against Canada at AT&T Stadium in Texas. Throughout Joseph's Floriday's playing career, he made 161 tackles (14 tackles for loss), four sacks, eight pass deflections, one forced fumble, and one recovered fumble. Joseph would declare for the 2019 NFL Draft despite the injury-plagued career.  ​

​Strengths: Has the excellent ability to become passive when diagnosing and reacting to the play. Has an urgent explosion as a speed rusher while exploding through the run gaps as a blitzer. Has very active hands to free himself from the more significant blockers even with swipes and chops. 
Plays fast on the field with above-average lateral agility and to settle down on backs that cutback against the grade. He plays with a lot of aggression and intensity on the field. He has an effective sideline-to-sideline range and tremendous closing speed. Has excellent ability to keep the play in front of him to make the play on the carrier. High awareness as a pass defender, the tremendous upside for the linebacker.​

Weaknesses: Needs to bulk up his body, the thin built frame can use more weight and body mass. Will get mauled by the massive lineman ascending into the second level. Despite diagnosing plays well, will shoot through the wrong gap allowing significant gains. Tends to go for the kill hit oppose to wrapping up. Will bite on play action plays, becoming a liability in man coverage. Potentially can be moved from linebacker to the strong safety position.

Draft Projection: 2nd - 3rd Round

Does He Fit?: Yes, still looking for the inside presence at linebacker, is athletic prospect with an above average initial burst that enables him to close on ball-carriers rather easily. If he can put on more bulk, can become a force to reckon with on the field.
