Strengths: He is an excellent cerebral player who has an extraordinary football IQ on the field. He is a big physical cornerback proportionately put together with his muscular frame. He has excellent versatility, with the ability to play both corner positions. He has tremendous cover skills where he can sit and read the routes of the receiver. He has the excellent closing speed to react to the slants and shallow crossing routes. He is a heavy hitter who does not shy flying downhill and lay hat on a running back. He will separate the ball away from the runner.​

Weaknesses: He shows signs of tightness in the hips where he strives to open up and changed directions with fast receivers. He backpedals too high with these fast receivers when he attempts to open up; he stumbles and does not have the speed to recover. His speed will be a concern not only against speedy receivers but his long speed on vertical passes. He collected much-holding penalties in college to prevent from getting burnt. His arms a quite for his frame and may struggle to deflect passes in the secondary.
