#74 ALEX LEATHERWOOD vs Notre Dame  (2020 ROSE BOWL)

Strengths: He is a massive offensive lineman with versatility built to play the offensive guard or tackle position. His wingspan is outrageous to accompany the lengthy frame that gives him a fair advantage over the defender. He is hugely a power blocker who can plow the defenders away from the play with his strength. He generally wins with leverage at the point of attack and will drive the defender until the whistle. His ability to manage his anchor once he jams his target it is lights out for that defender. He climbs up to the second level with great vision and smoothly attacks. He uses his length to his advantage in pass protection and welcomes the power rusher as he suffocates their power. Speedy edge rusher, he maintains a firm grip and can push the defender away from the quarterback. He has good footwork as he can shuffle or slide-step to open up and square off for pass protection.

Weaknesses: He can get in a pattern lunging out at the defender, not controlling his body, and can not recover well. He has these issues both on the run and pass-protection by anticipating the rush. He allows the defender in his chest while trying to execute a wide jam on the defender. This technique causes him to get stood straight and loses the power battle. He shows a little stiffness to his lower extremity that will get him trouble at times and squandering any sort of command.

Draft Projection: 2nd Round

NFL Comparison: Michael Oher (Baltimore Ravens)
