GAME FILM
#96 BRODERICK WASINGTON VS BAYLOR (2019)

Strengths: He has the right size, length, and athleticism for an NFL interior defensive lineman. He is a versatile defensive lineman with the flexibility to play all over the defensive line in a 3-4 or 4-3 defensive schemes. He has to ability to play the 0-tech, 1-tech, 3-tech, and sometimes the 5-tech positions in the 3-4 scheme. He is a bit explosive when he is line up as a 1 or 3-tech as a pass rusher. At 305-pounds, his ability to slide down the line with blockers to the ball carrier is impressive. He has good hustle that run on a high motor from the backside and always generally around the ball.

Weaknesses: He tends to lose the runner in space when flowing with the ball. He needs to develop better pass-rushing skills other than trying to perfect his power rush. He will need to find a better solution to disengage from blocks more rapidly by using better hand placements and counter movers to tackle against the run.

Draft Grade: 5.95

Draft Projection: 5th round

NFL Comparison: Michael Brockers
