Player Bio: Calvin Throckmorton played high school football at Newport High School in Bellevue, Washington. Throckmorton started in 38 consecutive games throughout his prep career. While at Oregon, he played in 15 games without committing a penalty in over 1,133 snaps. In a bass pro offense in a period of 31 games, in a total of 2,289 snaps, he only allowed one sack throughout that period.

#57 Calvin throckmorton  vs AUBURN (2019)

Strengths: A Versatile player who can step in anywhere along the offensive line, although most scouts project him as an NFL guard. Generally, a good pass blocker overall. Intelligent player who understands blocking assignments and picking up unblocked pass rushers. Physically active player who will not easily be overwhelmed by "bull-rushing" defensive players. Lots of big-game experience playing at a big-time program in big games against talented opponents. Has the kind of street-brawler attitude expected in an offensive lineman, but does not let that cause him to commit simple-minded penalties.

Weaknesses: Has leverage issues at times, tends to play high. Footwork can get sloppy. Limited as a run blocker, and he does not move well in space. The fact he had a disappointing senior year makes some wonder if he has hit his ceiling. Throckmorton is more of a long-term project than a player expected to make an immediate impact in the NFL

Draft Grade: 5.95 Throckmorton has some ability but needs coaching before he is ready for prime time in the NFL.
