Player Bio: Cameron (Cam) Brown prepped at Bullis School in Burtonsville, MD. He played outside linebacker and defensive end in high school. His only offer was from Penn St, and he signed only playing at 210 pounds. He made the ESPN All-Freshman team his first year. He is the cousin of former NFL wide receiver Andre Davis who played at Virginia Tech.

#6 CAM BROWN VS PITTSBURGH (2019)

Strengths: He is a very versatile athlete that can play all over the defense, even can lineup in space or outside. He has a long and lanky body with long arms to his wingspan. A tremendous hitter who plays the run well, and will demolish a ball carrier. He squares up well and can is elusive from blocker while attacking the line of scrimmage. He can take on blocks and shed and make it to the ball carrier. Has the ability to come downhill on a blitz from the gaps or the outside.

Weaknesses: He probably would benefit by putting on more weight with muscle mass. His build is of small NBA forward with his slim frame and including his lower body. When we first watch him on film, he looks like a violent and angry tackler by trying to smash the runner. However, in the process, he takes inconsistent angles, making bad decisions missing many tackles by not wrapping. He will typically run by the tackle or shed the wrong side to make the tackle. Will need to work on coverage skills, the double move by a back or tightend he struggles to recuperate with the routes.
