Player Bio: Clyde Edwards-Helaire attended Catholic High School in Baton Rouge, LA. His senior season, he helped Catholic High win the 2015 Class 5A State Championship and named the 2015 Class 5A Championship Most Outstanding Player. He became the first freshman to start at Catholic Hgh school. He received an invite to participate in the Red Stick Bowl and Nike's The Opening in Oregon. Rated as a 4-star prospect and took his talent to LSU to have one great junior year winning a national championship. ​

#22 CLYDE EDWARD-HELAIRE HIGHLIGHTS (2019)

Strengths: A very electric and quick running back that produces unbelievable plays. Edwards-Helaire has incredible agility, and cutbacks are very exciting to compliment his start and stop speed up is magnificent. He has an excellent jump-cut through the line of scrimmage and can prepare for the defense to counter. Lower center gravity stays below pad-level and keeps his legs driving through the contact. When he gets contacted, he still maintains his balance shedding off tacklers. Once in the open field, he has enough ability to plan an escape against the second-level defenders. Top-notch skills out of the backfield as a receiver. Has excellent vision and ability to process the blitz in pass protection. Versatile and have the ability to play in any style of offense.

Weaknesses: Not very tall and concern if he can hold up against taller pass rushers. Do not provide an excellent anchor to handle more prominent size rushers. He suffered from lousy hamstring last season never really healed.
