GAME FILM
#13 Cole McDonald vs byu (2019)

#13 Cole McDonald CAREER highlights

Strengths: He has high talent and athleticism with exceptional speed, very mobile, and a physical strong body. He has a great NFL size quarterback body after adding nearly 15 pounds of muscle to his frame last season. He has tremendous arm strength and the high confidence and ability to attack the whole field and not shy to attack the safeties in the seam. He is cerebral and work through his progressions for the best read before throwing a laser to the intended target. He is a tough competitor who has the willingness to stay in the pocket to the very last second and find his open targets downfield. He has great speed in which it allows him to become at duel threat from the pocket. He will stick his nose down and bang it out for a extra yard or crossing the goaline in the red-zone.

Weaknesses: He has too much of wind to his throws that will contribute to potential interceptions at the next level. He does not throw too many pretty spirals and his ball tends to waver down the field. The trajectory of his pass across the middle are not pin-point accurate will lead the receiver into huge and critical hits. He will need to work on his overall mechanics and quicker release points. He has the talent but a two-year project or some wildcat formations will be best fit early in his career.

Draft Grade: 5.40

Draft Projection: 6th round

NFL Comparison: Phillip Rivers (arm) / Andy Dalton (mobility)
