Ed "Pi Double I" Henderson

Player Bio: Damien Lewis attended Canton High School in Canton, MS. At Canton High, he played on both sides of the line during his career. Not receiving any major scholarship offers, attended Northwest Mississippi Community College, Lewis became a junior college All-America selection his two seasons at NWMCC. Lewis started all of the 22 games that he played and selected as the MACJC's Offensive Line MVP. Lewis's talents are not only on the field but in the classroom while at Northwest CC. Selected as the 2017 Capital One Academic All-District Football and 2016-17 MACJC All-Academic Team graduated in 18-months and arrived at LSU. Lewis started 27 games for the Tigers and helped win a National Championship title last month.  ​

​#68 Damien Lewis VS alabama (2019) 

Strengths: A uniformly compact player with tremendous lower body power who is a great run blocker. Ensembles himself below the pad level with flexible hips. A dirty attitude when blocking who blast open running holes and generate space for the running backs. Ability to seal off with excellent hips to turn the rusher. Good with combination blocking, by blocking down and climbing to the second level. NFL sized guard with suitable arm lengths. He has proper mechanics as a run-blocker and ability to drop his anchor to neutralize bull rushers.

Weaknesses: He has difficulty with plays that are regarding his need to pull out getting in space. Terrible footwork, when needing to readjust, tend to trip over his feet. As a pass-blocker, his footwork is atrocious that needs better techinique as he surges out at rusher in his protection. He does not play within control, being above pad level, prompting to push on contact. Can often find him firing out wide in the pass and run game.​
