Ed "Pi Double I" Henderson

Player Bio: Darryl Taylor prepped at Hopewell High School in Hopewell, VA. He played defensive end that earned him All-State Second-Team honors after recording 60 tackles (19 for losses), with eleven sacks. Selected as a consensus four-star prospect and invited to play in the 2014 Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl. Taylor also played basketball for Hopewell to add to his resume. He received a scholarship to Tennessee and red-shirting his freshman year. He would start in 22 games and ending his career with 118 tackles (26.5 tackles for loss), six forced fumbles, four recovered fumbles, and six pass deflections.​

Strengths: He has a robust, fundamental, and reliable tackler with a stable strength grasp. Very powerful with the ability to play in a 3-4 or 4-3 schemed defenses. Display a convenient swim move and sharp dip and rip move and a treasure box full of other tricks. Sparks with a small range of athleticism with a significant bend. He has a good range with the ability to pursue from the backside against the run or screen passes. Versatile and the ability to play on either side of the field when in a standup or three-point stance. Produces immeasurable pressure toward the quarterback and forces the ball out with thunderous chop move. Had the ability to drop back in coverage and the ability to hold against tight-ends on passing downs. 

Weaknesses: He can be inconsistent holding contain at the edge with limited power in his punch. Need to work on better time at the snap of the ball tends to delay at the snap compromising his ability to rush. Create deadlocks when infiltrating the offense against the run—problematic watching him give up on plays, not near his range. Needs to build more power to become an effective bull-rusher. A sense of urgency to get in the backfield leaves him clueless on the chop blocks and stunts.​​
