Player Bio: Davon Hamilton played football at Pickerington Central High School in Pickerington, OH. At Pickerington, he started on both sides of the ball on the line for three seasons. His senior year he was named as the Ohio Capital Conference Ohio Division Player of the Year, Division I Central 
District Player of the Year and AP All-State First-Team. He finished his senior season with 67 tackles (23 tackles for loss), which he was named as the All-Metro #6 player in the state. He signed with Ohio State to have a good career and became a starter in his final year.​

Strengths: First look at Hamilton, the first thing that sticks out is how explosive he is off the snap. To complement his explosiveness off the ball is how he displays his power strength. From that, combine his power and strength to demonstrate a tremendous bull-rush. You have to see his ability on how he can get skinny and slaughter double-team blocks. Very flexible to change course and dip under to make tackles. Hamiloton uses his hands well to shed blocks and stack the gap—a good cerebral player with an impressive IQ to recognize plays and maintain his gap integrity. He is a very versatile defensive lineman that can play either in a 3-4 or 4-3 alignment. Demonstrated effective plays at the 0-tech, 3-tech, and the 5-tech, and defensive tackle in the 4-3 alignment. Has good effective moves the demonstrate club-rip, bull-rush, and swim moves.

Weaknesses: We can only find limited flaws in Hamilton's game other than him attempting to be elegant at times. He tends to try to outmaneuver the blocker as opposed to just relying on his athletic play and power, which leaves over pursuing plays. Aggressive tackler but does not try to cause turnovers by either stripping or punching out the ball.​
