GAME FILM
#10 Jacob Eason VS UTAH (2019)

#10 Jacob Eason 2019 HIGHLIGHTS

Strengths: He is a big physical impressive sized quarterback who has an excellent balance in his position. He generates tremendous velocity from his powerful arm with a natural throwing mechanics. He can make deep intermediate throws in the window with curls, comebacks, and dig routes from one side of the field to the other. He has high confidence in threading the needle between double coverage. His pocket presence is insane as he will go through his progression and not fazed by any pressure in his face.
He is very comfortable in the pocket and is willing to hang on until the last moment before delivering the ball. When he does get pressure, he has just enough athleticism to move the pocket to check down or throw the ball away. He will use his legs at times to run outside the pocket for a sizeable amount of gain. He throws an enormous back shoulder fades at the NCAA level.

Weaknesses: He needs to develop the skills to reduce some of the velocity from the ball to create touch passes. He throws the ball underneath with way too much velocity as it gets up on the receiver before they can react. He has a nagging habit on when he gets pressure, will reverse his play to the left; at the next level, he will end up on the IR with that continued practice. His skill in climbing the pocket is sub-standard and will need to coach on how to climb. He will need to learn not to continue to rely on his arm to thread every pass between double coverages. At the next level, they will bait him and give him bad nightmares.

Draft Grade: 6.25

Draft Projection: 2nd - 3rd round
