GAME FILM
#55 Jake Hanson vs auburn (2019)

Strengths: Smart, a coachable player with a high motor. Moves well enough to play in the Rams zone-blocking scheme. Works hard and is not injury prone. Good team player who works well with others, critical for an offensive lineman and especially for a center. Will probably be available in lower rounds at a position of need for the Rams. Last season starting center Brian Allen, was not good at center last year for the Rams. Austin Blythe is a free agent, and if Los Angeles still needs a center in rounds 6 or 7, he should be there, Hanson is not the ideal choice as a starter but could battle Allen, and whomever else is on the roster. Not a top prospect on paper, but someone who might be ''coached-up" to at least be serviceable, or could provide depth. Guys with his mental makeup will often surprise, but if Hanson fails, it will not be because he is lazy or stupid.

Weaknesses: Not as big as required in today's NFL, and lacks the lower-body heft that's like in an interior lineman. Will need help to clear out massive "run-stuffer" type tackles inside running plays. Occasionally had weird periods in college where he had issues snapping the ball. That cannot happen at the next level. Do not predict Hanson as a starter at the next level, as he is not physical enough. He has issues blocking at the second level.

Draft Grade: 5.69

Draft Projection: 5th-7th round

NFL Comparison: Austin Reiter, Kansas City Chiefs
