#9 Jojo Ward career highlights

Strengths: He is another one of those speedy wide receivers that played at Hawaii. Another legitimate vertical threat that can definitely get open to come down with ball. He tracks the ball tremendously in the air and generally comes down with the reception. He will run the underneath routes and can  seperate away from the defensive back for sizeable gains. He can run any route of the route tree with good footwork to get open. He is mostly dangerous against flat footed defensive backs when he runs the deep outs or curl route. He has reliable hands and will come up with the difficult catches.

Weaknesses: He has the defined size of former NFL wide-receiver Steve Smith (Carolina Panthers), but can  he play on the outside and be succesful like Smith? He more than likely will have to adapt to playing at the slot receiver position. He primarily played on the outside in a run-and-shoot style offense, however at the next level he will be challenged. Physical defensive backs can influecned his routes off the line. Adding strength to his frame will be key if he expects to continue to play on the outside as a reciever.

Draft Grade: 5.70

Draft Projection: 7th round - UDFA (priority)

NFL Comparison: DJ Moore
