Player Bio: Jonathan Greenard attended Hiram High School in Hiram, GA. After his senior year, Greenard was a 3-star recruit by 247Sports.com, #83 outside linebacker nationally, and #110 prospect overall in Georgia. Greenard was selected as the 5-A Region Defensive Player of the Year after registering 43 tackles and seven sacks his senior year. Greenard also played tight-end as he selected as the Georgia 5-A Class All-State Honorable Mention. Greenard also starred on the team's basketball team in addition to his athletic talent. He would accept a scholarship to the University of Louisville, and transferred to Miami as a graduate senior. He led the SEC with 9.5 sacks and 15.5 tackles or loss. ​

Strengths: Right length and strength to play the EDGE and defined to the run with an enthusiasm motor. Has a transparent rush strategy at the snap of the ball that sets up moves entirely through the game. Has exceptional ability to rip and bend to get underneath the pass protector. He has a noble compact explosion that can get his body in location to attack the play. He can set up inside moves with an enormous explosion and stutter steps off the ball. The ability to attack the edge consistently with a great get off and bend. Has a formidable knack for always going after the ball when tackling.

Weaknesses: When playing in space, he has difficulties with running backs. Because of his exceptional get off, frequently is too fast and catches himself missing the play. He does not have the necessary thrust strength when his pad level becomes levitated, causing it to shift. While transferring his speed to power, he tends to fight with being consistent. The routine of his hand mechanics needs better development at the next level.  ​
