Player Bio: Josh Metellus prepped at Charles W. Flanagan High School in Pembroke Pines, FL and coached by Devin Bush Sr. father of former teammate Devin Bush Jr. His senior year he amounted 50 tackles and 5.5 sacks to Flanagan High to the FHSAA Class 8A state championship. He earned the Class 8A All-State First-Team, and as a PrepStar Magazine All-Southeast Region prospect, as well a ESPN Four-Star Prospect. He was regarded as the 11th best safety prospect in the state of Florida in 2016.​

Strengths: He is very experience safety who has started at both position with 40 plus games of starting experience. He has a good frame and size to play at the safety position. He has good speed who comes downhill fast to fill the gaps. He is attacker and very phyiscal who plays with good leverage at the right pad level. He run through his tackles with the ability to seperate the ball from the receiver. He is a excellent tackler who can break down well, wraps up his tackles and is very reliable in the open field. He uses his hands could in coverage and he attacks the ball and fights jaring it away of the receiver.

Weaknesses: He tends to gamble from his aggresiveness while in coverage. Will miss guess and allows the receiver to go overtop. He is not a playmaker despite is power and aggresivness get to the ball carrier. Forced fumbles and takeaways was his weakness thoughrout his career. Maybe limited to special teams to make team and third-down defensively.
