Player Bio: Julian Okwara and his family moved from Nigeria to the United States when he was nine years old. He would attend Ardrey Kell High School in Charlotte, NC. His senior year, he tallied 84 tackles (70 solos), 11 tackles for loss, nine sacks, and eight quarterback hurries, four forced fumble, one deflected pass, and a block field goal. In his junior year, he had 90 tackles, ten sacks, and two forced fumbles. Named Defensive Lineman by the Charlotte observer, and invited to play in the North Carolina vs. South Carolina Shrine Bowl. He is the younger brother of Romeo Okwara of the New York Giants.​

Strengths: He is a long and athletic player with incredibly long arms and legs. He has long strides that eat up space when rushing from the edge. He can get to the passer quickly from a gentle bend from the edge. He is a productive bull rusher and with proper hand placement on the blocker torso. If he gets beat, he can recover and redirect his rush to give pressure. He has an excellent ability to absorb blocks to make plays. He can track the ball well anywhere on the field. He has some ability to drop back in coverage.

Weaknesses: He shows inconsistencies from the snap of the ball to get the jump, which causes him to have poor angles toward the ball carrier. He does not process run versus the pass and struggles to read the trap. He tends to freelance frequently and not play his traditional assignment. When not applying his bull rush, he absorbed a lot by the blocker. His bullrush is his signature move and will need to work on more counter moves.
