Player Bio: Khalil Davis prepped at Blue Springs High School in Blue Springs, Missouri where he starred as a defensive lineman and offensive lineman. He was an All State-Class 6 selection and during his senior year totaled 60 tackles with 26 tackles for loss and 9.5 sacks. Davis ran an impressive 4.63 40-yard dash and had a 33-inch vertical jump at the U.S. Army National Combine. Davis was a All-State discus on the track team only to lose to his twin brother Carlos who also played for Nebraska. At Nebraska, Davis logged eight sacks as a interior defensive lineman with a career high of 45 tackles with 12 for losses. Started every game his senior year but one after a one-game suspension for striking a Ohio State player.

Strengths: A violent and quick rusher that can knife through a one-gap hole causes penetration at the line of scrimmage. Has very strong hands that eleminates any potential blockers to control him one-on-one to the backfield. Keeps his body with fundamental leverage and a consistent pass rusher with with explosiveness off the line.

Weaknesses: Davis lacks the ideal length that be of a concern at the next level at the point of attack. Immersed in the ground game while taking on double teams, and is quicly oblierated with triple-team blocks. Is exploited if not getting off the ball with a explosive quick first step failing to win at the snap of the ball. In a 3-4 scheme, has limitations at the three-techinique needing his speed to compensate for lack of length. Suspended one-game for striking another player his senior displays anger issues.
