Player Bio: K.J. Osborn graduated from IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL, for the former Heisman Trophy winner Chris Weinke. Before transferring to IMG Academy, he played three years at Lincoln High School in Ypsilanti, MI. His senior year at IMG Osborn caught 21 passes for 379 yards and seven touchdowns. He also ran track during his years at Lincoln High in the 100 and 200 meters. He accepted a scholarship to the University of Buffalo, where he helped turn the program around. After quarterback Tyree Jackson announced he was declaring for the draft, Osborn graduated and transferred to Miami. ​

#2 k.j. Osborn highlights (2019)

Strengths: He is a physical and versatile player who has the experience of playing at the inside and outside receiver's positions. He has a suitable top-end speed that allows him to become a threat to the defense. He does run great routes and can read the coverages to get himself open. He can identify the linebackers drops, and he knows where the safeties will cover to cut off his route or continue with crossing routes. He can recognize the blitz and uncover as the hot receiver and is a quarterback's best friend. He has no fear running routes across the middle and will make tough catches in traffic. After making the catch, he will fight to extra yards while in space. He is fearless and does well as a return specialist on punts and kickoffs.

Weaknesses: He will struggle to free up from press coverages with more prominent, more durable physical corners. He needs to develop ways of freeing himself at the line of scrimmage. As a route runner at the next level, he will need to develop on how to neutralize his speed while breaking down on his routes. He tends to have problems with senseless drop passes. He does not have elite speed but will need to take advantage of his opportunities with the ball in his hands as opposed to dancing around.​
