Player Bio: La'Mical Perine attended Theodore High School in Mobile, AL. In his senior year at Theodore High, he rushed for 1,654 for 15 touchdowns. In his junior year, he rushed for 1,416 yards, 15 touchdowns, and 15 receptions for two touchdowns. He earned Alabama Class 7A First Team All-State honors and invited to play in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game. He is the cousin of Washington Redskins running back Semaje Perine and Myles Jack, linebacker for the Jacksonville, Jaguars.

Strengths: He is an explosive runner who has that playmaking ability. He burst through the holes with the flow of action with the ability to accelerate for the distance. He has a burst that will display his top-ended speed to run through the second level. The smallest hole he can split and through the linebackers and safeties in a heartbeat. He has excellent patience to run with the blocking direction and cut back into the open hole. He uses his blocks while putting his hand on their backs and ride him until there is an open hole. It is incredible how he can read the linebackers flow of direction and cut back against the grade. Reliable and impactful receiver out the backfield not just from catching screens but can lineup on the line of scrimmage and run routes. Perine had over 40 receptions last season with five touchdowns.

Weaknesses: He is not a very elusive runner and is not the most skilled athlete. There are some concerns about if he can handle a heavy workload as he rarely runs the ball late in games. In traffic, he tends to get himself in trouble when trying to juke and does not anticipate the correct route. As a pass blocker, he is not very consistent in that department but can get in the way. ​
