Player Bio: Markus Bailey prepped at Hilliard Davidson High School in Hilliard, OH. In his senior year at Hilliard Davidson High, he tallied 100 tackles, three forced fumbles, and three interceptions. His numbers were way off from his junior year after recording 160 tackles, four interceptions, and three forced fumbles. He earned All-OCC, ALL-District, All-Metro, All-State Second-Team, Team MVP, and Marine Corps Distinguished Athlete. He also was a four-time academic achievement winner.

Strengths: He is an excellent cerebral and an aggressive player who process the play well. His read and reaction skill are incredible hand runs off a high motor. He has an exceptional tackle radius that consistently makes tackles in crowds. He climbs well against the offensive line and produces a firm punch to keep free from the blocker. He is versatile and can the inside and outside linebacking positions. He can be a three-down player who plays in man or zone pass coverages and even defend in the seam. 

Weaknesses: He struggles to change directions that cause him with slow side-to-side speed. The limited pursuit stems from two crucial ACL's tears to his knee's in which the last one ended his 2019 season. He shows some signs of stiffness and tends to struggle to get to point-b. He strong and hard tackles tend to get above the pad level, which results in missed tackles or penalties.
