Player Bio: Michael Onwenu attended Cass Technical High School in Detroit, MI. His senior year, helped Cass Technical High reach the state championship.  He was named the 2015 Div. 1-2 Associated Press All-State First-Team, Detroit Free Press Metro All-State Team, 2015 Cityballer of the Year, and  PrepStar Magazine All-American. He received an invite to participate in the 2016 U.S. Army All-American Game and rated as a four-star prospect by Rivals.com, ESPN, and Scout.com.​

Strengths:  He is a massive offensive guard that knows how to get win at the point of attack. He has nastiness as mauler that will simply bulldozed and in front of his way. At nearly 350-pounds, he has quick-witted feet which allows him to become very mobile. He used his hips well to get good leverage and get underneat the defenders pad level. He has a good punch and uses his length to overpower the defender laterally. He has good uses with his hands and large hands to give a strong grip strength.

Weaknesses: 
Study has shown that defensive linemen with quick twitched will provide issues for the player. He need to develop better hands technique as he tends to get them too high. He leans too far forward at times and quicker line can avoid him and cause him to climb out of positon. He is subpar as pass blocker and will need alot of work to more effective on passing downs. ​
