Player Bio: Michael Pittman Jr played at Oaks Christian High School in Westlake Village, CA. In his senior year, he put up some unbelievable numbers by catching 81 passes for 1,990 yards and 24 touchdowns. In his final game of the season, he recorded16 receptions for 354 yards and five touchdowns. His junior year, he made 47 catches for 914 yards and 12 touchdowns. Pittman was named to the 2015 Parade All-American first team, Prep Star All-American Dream Team, Max Preps All-American first team, Orange County Register Fab 15 second team, Tacoma News Tribune Western 100, USA Today All-California Offensive Player of the Year, Cal-Hi Sports All-State first team, All-CIF Pac 5 Division, Fox Sports West/Prime Ticket All-CIF Offensive Player of the Year, Los Angeles Times All-Area first team, Los Angeles Daily News Player of the Year and Ventura County Star Player of the Year, and graduated early to enroll at USC in the Spring of 2016.

#6 Michael Pittman jr 2019 highlights

Strengths: He is a tall, physical, and rangy wide receiver who has a great fit to play outside. He has a broad catch radius that honors his frame and great hands. He has good leaping ability to help secure and win the 50/50 balls. He is a decisive route runner and an excellent ability to track the ball downfield. He has the right balance and to control passes to the sideline or in traffic with great concentration. He displays the ability to read coverages and knows where to make the adjuments and sit down on his route. He uses his big body to shield off the defensive back with his routes. He is a magnificent block who can even control the linebackers with drive blocks. He can break tackles and supply a mean stiff arm on the defender. He can return punts and kickoffs with his size and is very useful.

Weaknesses: He did not match up with better physical and more durable corners in college and will be a concern if he can adapt to the next level with more significant and physical press corners. Mediocre sized corners displayed that can prevent him from getting off the line suddenly. Despite being a little shifty in traffic, he is not that elusive.
