Walker was an all-around athlete at Vaca-High, where he played football, basketball and ran track. He was a running back and linebacker where he rushed for 577 yards and eight touchdowns his senior year. On defense, recorded 112 tackles and (72 solos) with recording 17 tackles against Napa High. In track, he placed in the 4x100-meters and 4x400-meters in 2014. He initially received a scholarship to Azusa-Pacific, where he was named All-Conference First-Team his freshman year. He transferred to Fresno State and received an invite to the 2020 NFL Combine.
