Player Bio: Robert Winsor prepped at Fond du Lac High School in Fond du Lac, WI. During his senior season, he compiled 56 tackles (13 tackles for loss) and 5.5 sacks; and in his junior season, he compiled 42 tackles (22 for loss) and four sacks. He garnered the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association and the Associated Press First-Team honors, Action Reporter Media 2014 Defensive Player of the Year, Valley Football Association South Defensive Co-Player of the Year, Defensive Lineman of the Year, Valley Football Association South Second-Team honors. Windsor also played two seasons on the basketball team.

#54 ROB WINDSOR PENN ST HIGHLIGHTS

Strengths: He has a tremendous attack off the snap with a high motor. He has good speed for an interior defensive lineman that attacks the pocket. He tracks the ball well and runs down to make the tackle. He has functional characteristics of an NFL interior defensive lineman, where he allowed to placement in different packages of the defensive line. His best fit will be for a 4-3 scheme defense at the tackle position.

Weaknesses: He has an inopportune first step that tends to get him out of position from above the pad level positions presented by the offensive blocker. He does not wow anyone by setting the tone he counters off the offensive line positions. He has inconsistency that displays from game to game and tends to slack off on plays. He is another one of those tweener defensive linemen that are undersized to play inside and not fast enough to play on the edge. Perhaps he needs to add about 10-15 pounds to stay inside to dominate.
