GAME FILM
#54 tommy doyle vs Central Michigan
(2019 mac Championship)

Strengths: He is a towering lineman standing at 6' 8" tall, making him one of the tallest in this year and appealing to every NFL scouts. His size is desirable for the NFL that allows him to become a starting blindside blocker. His size is his biggest strength right now, and smart player that is very cerebral. He has excellent strength at the position that barrels through to open up run gaps for the running back—a very physical player who enjoys contact plowing anything in sight. His size came into play in the pass rush as he was able to control the power pass rushers hardly given up sacks. Very conscientious of stunts and the ability to pick up blitzing linebackers or safety.

Weaknesses: He lacks speed, agility, and athleticism for the next level. His size and length compensated him at the collegiate level, but his lack of will exposed him at the next level. He tends to depend on his power, technique, and intelligence for a counter move. His strength will be at run blocking, and he will need much work to become a legitimate pass blocker. Crafty defensive lineman that can start outside and work back inside or vis-versa will beat him most of the time. Speedy edge rushers are problematic for him, and he will need to focus on developing a counter for the agile pass rushers. He also tends to get below the pad level that causes him to lose his balance forward. He has a firm grip but needs to keep his hand on the pass rusher quickly to prevent getting beat.

Draft Projection: 4th-6th Round

NFL Comparison: Bryant McKinnie (Baltimore Ravens)
