Player Bio: Travis Etienne starred at Jennings High School located in Jennings, LA. In his senior season at Jennings High, he rushed 2,459 yards, 35 rushing touchdowns, and 39 total touchdowns. In his junior year, Etienne had rushed for 2,938 yards for 42 touchdowns. Throughout his prep career, he rushed 7,518 rushing yards for 103 rushing touchdowns. He garnered as a three-time All-District and All-Parish, All-state in 2015 and State AAA MVP in 2015, First-Team All-Southwest Louisiana in 2015 and 2016, First Team All-Louisiana Coaches Association, and first-team All-USA Today. Etienne also starred on Jennings High basketball team.

#9 Travis Etienne 2020 Highlights

Strengths: He is an exceptionally talented running back who can beat a team in all three phases of the game. A complete running back that is explosive, shifty, has excellent burst, physically strenuous, and can shift from one speed to the next. He can hit the open hole and get to the next level and go to another gear for the long run. He will run the ball in space and tight windows with the ability to make the defender miss. Arm tackles will not bring him down as he will run right through them. He has excellent and reliable hands out the backfield or in the slot. Dangerous weapon on special teams as well will complete all three phases of his game.

Weaknesses: He needs to add some bulk to his upper body; there have been concerns with turnovers. His lower body excellent; however, strengthening his upper body will minimize the turnovers. He will tend to run into holes that have not developed, need to reserve patience, and develop better vision. He is not fundamentally sound as a pass protector; the bulk he adds will contribute to becoming a secure protector.
