#15 Davis mills Season Highlights (2020)

Strengths: He has excellent height, cerebral, and outstanding arm strength for an NFL quarterback. He has an upsize over many quarterbacks in this draft, primarily playing in a pro-style offense. Under one of the most prolific offenses in the Pac-12, he spent most of his time performing under the center. His decision-making on the field is excellent as he makes throws all over the field. Usually, he is accurate, especially with the quick and immediate routes. He uses an excellent touch on the ball to anticipate the receiver's break and throw the ball before they turn.  His dropbacks and feet are smooth; he has excellent pocket awareness and uses his clock to get out of pressure and run for positive yards. He will not hesitate to throw or run the ball in pressure situations.

Weaknesses: He suffered back-to-back knee injuries in his first two seasons at Stanford, which derailed his time on the field. He started only 11 games in his collegiate career, which may be a red flag. He can be a streaky thrower, starts hot, and throw his throws off the chart. Many screens and dump-off passes blanketed his passing percentage. He does not panic under pressure; however, he is inconsistent with inaccurate throws once moved from his spot. He will force throws in tight windows that will not allow his receivers to make additional yardage. He will try to trust his strong arm too much by throwing off his back foot or throwing the passes late. His deep throws can be inconsistent; his balls seem to have too much air and sails, not allowing the receiver to get under the throws. Recommended that he return for another year eligibility granted by NCAA due to pandemic to gain more experience.

Draft Projection: 2nd - 5th Round

NFL Comparison: Jimmy Garopollo (San Francisco 49ers)
