Player Bio: Dayo Odenyingbo prepped at Carrollton Ranchview High School in Carrollton, TX, a suburb outside Dallas, TX. He played both offense and defense as he excelled on the defensive line. He recorded 47 tackles (20 for loss), seven sacks, and three forced fumbles in his senior season. He was named All-Area in his junior and senior years. Dayo participated in track running the high hurdles and discus and javelin thrower. Odenyingbo was born to Nigerian descent parents who move to New York, where Dayo was born.

Strengths: He is an EDGE rusher who combines with both length and explosiveness off the line. It is astonishing how long his wingspan, solid frame, and superb athleticism are on the attack. He is a versatile defender who can lineup all over the defensive front with his hand on the ground. He played at the one-tech and three-tech position and just was disruptive than at the EDGE position, even at the 0-tech position. He keeps a high motor at all times with tremendous energy. He set the EDGE well with his length and is good with disengaging with the blocker and making pursuit to the ball. He uses his length again as a pass rusher with a powerful grip for leverage and power to beat the blocker. He has an ok bend and arc and is very flexible to get around the corner without deaccelerating.

Weaknesses: He needs to get better and more consistent with his counter moves to his arsenal. The spin move that he uses is ineffective on the rush, and if he allows the lineman to get to his torso, he will struggle to disengage from the blocks.
