Player Bio: Hamilcar Rashed Jr attended Chandler High School in Phoenix, AZ. In his senior year at Chandler High, he registered 100 tackles and 13 sacks. He played outside linebacker, receiver, and tightend at Cesar Chavez High School before transferring to Chandler his senior year. He garnered All-State First Team, All-Section First Team, All-Division Second Team, Friday Night Fever First Team, All-Region First Team, and the Phoenix Union High School District Defensive Player of the Year. Food for thought, he registered ten sacks in one game.

Strengths: Added weight to his frame and show good bulk. He plays with a high motor and is determined to get home to the quarterback.  An excellent cerebral player will diagnose the run quickly and use his speed and agility to make the tackle. Use his hands and stiff arm to stay disengaged from blocks. He has good speed to pursuit from the backside and will bring down the more prominent quarterbacks. He will manage to slip off a block to make an open-field tackle. He has an average ability to drop off in coverage even after jamming a receiver or tight end.

Weaknesses: He was just another player on the field until his junior year where he exploded onto the scene. His senior season was very disappointing! He added weight and seemed to play much slower on the field. He looked slow and rugged off the snap, played flat-footed, and had could not put together an alternative plan after the initial point of attack failed. He seems only to show initiative; he beats the lineman or uncovered an accessible route to the quarterback.
