He concluded his senior campaign totaling 101 tackles, 28 tackles for loss, 13 sacks, and 14 quarterback hurries and tallied 86 tackles and 17 tackles for loss during his junior campaign. Farrell Jr earned Two-time All-Coastal Alabama First Team Defense, 2015 and 2016 Class 7A First Team Defense All-State football team by the Alabama Sports Writers Association and All-USA Alabama First Team Defense. He was invited to play in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star game​

Strengths

• He has a sturdy frame and good length, and he distributes his weight to compliment his body.
• He is tremendously strong in his upper body, as he uses his strength to counter the blocking 
• He has an elastic-style body as he will contort his body to counter blocks and frustrate offensive linemen that cannot dictate his flow.
• He will control his gap assignment, even while taking on double team blocks.
• He will maintain his vision in the backfield, without losing sight of the play.​
• He is fit as 1-tech or 3-tech in a 3-4 alignment, or defensive tackle in a 4-3 alignment is his best fit.

Weaknesses

• He has a slight clumsiness in his legs with his contact approach, tends to get off-legged, and has to lock and reload his base.
• Despite controlling his flow, he needs to use more of a punch when engaging with the lineman.
• He is not very fast off the snap and contributes as a pass rusher, as his lack of quickness was on display at the 2022 NFL Combine.
• He needs to develop a bull-rush tactic for pass rush.​
