In his junior year he played quarterback passed for 1,707 yards with 21 passig touchdowns and rushed for 437 yards and seven touchdowns. He was Massachusetts High School Football Coaches Association All State First-Team, received all-state recognition Inside the Huddle Massachusetts, named to the USA Today American Family Insurance All-USA Massachusetts team and earned Offensive MVP honors at the New York vs. New England 7-on-7 All-Star Challenge. Gray also starred in basketaball for Leominster.
