GAME FILM
#98 PAYTON TURNER VS UCF (2020)

#98 PAYTON TURNER CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Strengths: He has tremendous length, a long wingspan, versatility, and power to use for leverage. He shows his strength at the point attack with active and influential hands. He uses his muscular upper body strength to fight off blocks with multiple attempts to get through. He does well in locating the ball and can chase down the play from behind. He can play outside on the EDGE and slide down at the 3-tech and 5-tech positions. Turner uses his length as a pass rusher and to bat down passes.

Weaknesses: Despite playing at the EDGE, he does not have the actual EDGE rusher speed. He needs to play a bit lower at the pad level as he can too upright in his rush. He does not possess an arsenal of pass rush moves or counters; he will need to improve. Turner's future goal will perhaps he add more bulk and weight and slide down to the 3-tech or 5-tech. He has had a history of knee injuries throughout his career, showing tightness and stiffness in his play.

Draft Projection: 4th - 6th Round

NFL Comparison: Romeo Okwara (Detroit Lions)
