Player Bio: Chris Paul prepped at Jersey Village High School located in Houston, TX. He was a two-starter at Jersey Village after help engineering an offense that averaged over 400 yards per game. His senior year, Paul earned the honors of All-District First-Team. Chris excelled on the field; however, he excelled in the classroom after earning Academic All-District Selection. However, it gets even better with his excellence, voted as Class President, which subsequently the school named Chris Paul Day at Jersey Village on April 28 of every year. Paul's political aspirations heightened serving as chair of the conference’s SAAC executive board during the 2020-2022 academic years, member of the AAC’s Racial Equity Action Group (REAG), Black Men’s Initiative (BMI), University Ambassadors, Student Association, Future Alumni Council, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes while attending Tulsa. GAME FILM
#71 CHRIS PAUL VS OHIO ST (2021)

Strengths
  • He is a cerebral player and the fastest linemen at the combine, tying with two others for the second-fastest 40-time.
  • His specialty is mauling the defender in front of him at the initial point-of-attack at the line of scrimmage.
  • He is a powerful run blocker that packs a good thump which is his best attribute.
  • He establishes his leverage with significant hip and knee bend to maintain his position while driving to open up running lanes.
  • He fires out low and with a vicious behavior to control his gap in goal-line and short-yardage situations.
  • He uses his exceptional speed to get out in front of the second level of defenders.
  • He has quick feet allowing him to kick, slide and open up against the pass rush

Weaknesses
  • His skill level will require more work for the next level.
  • He does not possess elite lateral movement because of choppy heavy footwork.
  • His speed does not translate to his limited blocking range; he will struggle in space, especially while trying to the second level.
  • He will try to make up for mistakes overcompensating by leaning out, overextending himself, lunging at the defender while.
  • He will struggle with speed rushers and attempt to find his range with his speed.
  • He often gets above the pad-level, losing leverage and creating a disaster with his undisciplined play.
  • Has versatility to play guard or tackle, better fit at guard with lack of skills at tackle
  • He needs to use better hand placement as he regularly as the rusher will knock them down to blow up the play.

Draft Projection: 5th - 7th Round

NFL Comparison: Laken Tomlinson (New York Jets)
