#5 JALYN ARMOUR-DAVIS HIGHLIGHTS (2021)

Strengths
  • He has the prototyped size and length that most defensive coordinators enjoy.
  • He has enough skills for the coordinators to leave him out on an island with the team's best receivers.
  • He has extreme quickness to complement his height, weight, and frame, which allows him to play in press coverage.
  • He is very fluid and is very smooth in backpedaling and opening up.
  • He has above-average skills and techniques to mirror receivers in the early stage of their routes.
  • He keeps his feet with an excellent base and will turn smoothly with the receiver.
  • He will remain glued to the receiver and uses his hands to bat at the ball on wave his arms when passes are coming on top.
  • He has no issues tracking the ball in the air while training the receiver in their route progression.

Weaknesses
  • He does not explode in and out of his breaks from his lower body.
  • He frequently allows receivers to release inside when backpedaling off the line freely.
  • He will get above his pad level and remain upright when backpedaling.
  • He can be susceptible to double moves in off-coverages because of wandering eyes in the backfield.
  • He will need to work on shedding blocks and navigating in traffic to make tackles.
  • He has an injury concern that keeps him in and out of games; durability will become questioned at the next level.

Draft Projection: 3rd - 4th Round

NFL Comparison: Trevon Diggs (Dallas Cowboys)
