Player Bio: Jaydon Peevy prepped at Houston Bellaire High School in Houston, TX.
He recorded 77 tackles, 10 sacks, and 14 quarterback hurries during his senior year. Peevy garnered Dave Campbell’s Texas Football Super Team (second team) and was named to the PrepStar All-Southeast Region Team. He received an invite to participate in the 2016 U.S. Army All-American.

Strengths

• He has a nice solid thick frame, stout lower body, and is tall for an NFL interior defensive lineman.
• He plays with a high motor; it stays hot and pursues the play to the whistle's blow.
• He ingests much space in the middle to allow one-on-ones with fellowed defenders with solid play strength.
• He will use his power to pile up the line of scrimmage and shed blocks to make tackles.
• He will seize his opportunities when the offensive lineman misses their blocking assignments.

Weaknesses 

• He lacks the athleticism for an interior defensive lineman.
• He struggles to move laterally to get to the ball carriers as a run defender.
• He lacks the speed for an initial push off the line-of-scrimmage that acquires an offensive lineman to control his route.
• He lacks pass rushing ability who offers anything on passing downs
• He will need to learn butter leverage push at the point attack; he won low leverage in college and will not labor at the next level.
