Player Bio: Jeremy Ruckert attended Lindenhurst High School located n Long Island, NY. As a senior, he caught 61 passes for 1,094 yards and 13 touchdowns and added 61 tackles with 13 sacks and two interceptions from his defensive end/linebacker position. For his career, he recorded 222 receptions for 3,133 yards and 37 touchdowns. Ruckert helped lead Lindenhurst to the school’s first-ever Long Island Class I title. He would garner All-USA Today's first-team offense selection, New York’s Gatorade State Player of the Year, and participated in The Opening in Beaverton, OR, and the U.S. Army All-American Game.

Strengths

• He is solidly built, with a perfect frame for an NFL tightend.
• Surprisingly, he is athletic and has rare speed, agility, and inline quickness as he creates disadvantages against smaller safeties and linebackers.
• He has excellent hands; he has made some one-handed and acrobatic catches throughout his collegiate career.
• He mixes it up as a blocker, as he can seal the edge to open up run lanes. 
• His versatility allows him to line up inline, slot, or H-back positions as a lead blocker.
• He demonstrates that he can block well in space, certainly scouts have taking a deep look at that skill level.

Weaknesses

• He needs to add more muscle to his frame to sustain his blocks longer. 
• He will duck his head to block where he has missed many blocks on film.
• He also struggles to disengage off his blocks in traffic or from the line of scrimmage on passing routes.
• He will need to refine his route running for the next level; he will struggle to separate.
• He is limited on quick outbreaking routes with no yards after the catch; he will need to learn how to make the defender miss.
• He has to elusiveness, no wiggle, to get free with one-on-one plays.
