Player Bio: Malcolm Rodriguez attended Wagoner High School, Located in Wagoner, WY. As a senior, he accounted for 3,667 yards and 43 touchdowns while completing 67% of passes for 1,976 yards and 22 touchdowns and rushing 162 times for 1,691 yards and 21 touchdowns. Rodriguez accounted for 115 touchdowns over three seasons while passing for 6,144 yards and rushing for 2,449 yards. As a defensive back, he recorded seven interceptions and 238 tackles. Rodriguez led Wagoner to three straight state championships in his three years as a starting quarterback. He garnered 2016 All-Phoenix MVP by the Muskogee Daily Phoenix, The Oklahoman’s 2016 All-State Defensive Player of the Year, and One of the five finalists for the Tulsa World Offensive Player of the Year.

Strengths

• He plays with great cerebral ability and excellent versatility to play inside or outside positions.
• He recognizes plays and bursts downhill in pursuit of finding the ball.
• ​He has good sideline-to-sideline speed to chase down from the backside. 
  
• He is a tremendous hitter with an incredible hip explosion to drive through the runner.
• He tackles well in the open field and will navigate through traffic to find the ball.
• He is an effective blitzer who will beat the back and productive to make sack or stop in backfield.
• Good speed allows him to be a three-down linebacker who will read the quarterback's eyes and react to the play.
• He has coverage ability on passing downs and rarely lets the pass-catcher yards after the catch.

• He has very short arms that will prevent him from disengaging off blocks.
