Player Bio: Markaviest Bryant prepped at Crisp County High School located in Cordele, GA. In Bryant's senior year, he recorded 102 tackles (36 ½ tackles for loss) and 15 ½ sacks. Bryant earned Georgia Class 3A defensive player of the year and all-state. He received an invite to the Under Armour All-America Game. He played on the school basketball team and also participated in track.

Strengths 

• He is a versatile defender that is effective at the EDGE or outside linebacker positions.
• He has the ideal size and weight to complement his frame.  He can play either as a stand-up or with his hands down on the ground.
• He has average speed, but the first three steps are incredibly explosive 
• He has tremendous explosion from the three-point stance and disrupts the pass blocking tackles.
• He has heavy hands that have excellent thump to shock the blocker.
• He demonstrates perfect fluid hips to set the edge and anchor.  

​Weaknesses

• His rush moves need much work for the next level, despite his explosion from the three-point stance. 
• He uses weight to push off forward with his weight and will get blowed out of the play by veterans linemen.
• He will need to create a better repertoire with his hands as a pass rusher.
• He struggles to shed blocks and to disengage once locked up with a blocker tends to wrestle with lineman, and does not move smaller powerful running backs. 
• He does not play with a high motor as needed as an EDGE and needs to create a better bend off the EDGE.
• He has minimal pass coverage skills and will need much work on covering skills against backs out the backfield. 
• Transferred from Auburn show promise in first game but seemed to regress. Mid-round selection in 2021 Draft, slides to lower round after 2021 season.
