​Player Bio: Matt Araiza attended Rancho Bernardo High School, located in San Diego, CA. In his senior year, he made 12 of his 16 field goal attempts with a long of 53 yards while punting 39 times for 1,712 yards and finishing with touchbacks on 49 of his 51 kickoffs. Araiza had 120 punts for 5,001 yards with a long of 71 yards; out of 221 kickoffs, 179 went for touchbacks. He also played defensive back for Rancho Bernardo High. Araiza garnered MaxPreps Sophomore First-Team All-American,  California Medium Schools First Team, Three-time All-CIF San Diego Section Kicker of the Year, and Two-Time Palomar League Kicker of the Year. He excelled in track and field and soccer; he set a freshman record in 110 and 300 hurdles in track.
