Player Bio: Phidarian Mathis attended Neville High School, located in Winer, LA. He recorded 41 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, seven sacks, and six quarterback hurries as a senior. Mathis helped engineer Neville High to the Louisiana Class 4A state championship game in his final three seasons. He garnered Louisiana Sports Writers Association Class 4A All-State First-Team, USA Today Louisiana All-State, and All-District 2-4A. He participated in the Under Amour All-America Game in 2016.

Strengths

• He has a massive frame, athletic, quick, and has incredible strength to power.
• He plays with a high motor and hustles across the field.
• His get off at the snap displays his quickness at the point of attack for an interior defensive lineman
• He is a quality run-stopper who will penetrate the gaps to disrupt the offensive play schemes.
• He will take on double team blocks, hold his anchor, and split the double-team to make a play.
