Player Bio: Zion Johnson prepped at Riverdale Baptist located in Upper Marlboro, MD. In his senior year, he earned the 2016 Coaches Award and, in 2015, named the team Most Improved Player. Johnson was also a member of the Riverdale Baptist golf team.​

Strengths

• He has a massive frame with a stout lower body.
• He is impressively powerful to drive the defenders away from the run holes.
• He uses his strength to sustain his blocks and control his side of the line.
• When he engages with the block, he uses excellent hand placement with his large hands and is a technician at work moving the defender around.
• He can pull outside to lead on sweeps or toss, trap block, and counter block.
• He drops a good anchor with an excellent knee bend to sustain any bull rusher.
• He could be a day one starter in league with the correct system.

Weaknesses

• He does not provide great athleticism or speed at the next level.
• He will be restricted to an interior lineman and cannot offer more in case of injuries.
• His hand placement can be erratic and will need work on control
• He will struggle on stretch plays and with moving targets.
• Craft speed rushers can impose problems on passing downs.
