Aaron Donald Is Working Out

According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, Aaron Donald may still be holding out in search of a new contract, but keeping himself in football shape by working out over at the University of Pittsburgh, his Alma Mater.

Donald has missed all of the Rams offseason programs, and that may affect his chemistry and familiarity with the new system that DC Wade Phillips is instituting since his arrival this year. However, again, we are talking about a top-tier disruptive DT, maybe the best in the league.

The Rams front office has about a week and a half to sign AD to a new deal. If they want their best player in both sides of the ball to take the field in week one at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum versus a decimated Indianapolis Colts in what will officially be the beginning of the new regime, headed by HC Sean McVay.

Ok this is what i think of the entire AD situation.
we offered him 120m for 6 years. He said no he wants a 3 year opt out.
Why would we jump his pay so much to keep him 1 year past his current contract when we can just franchise tag him for 2 more after this current contract keeping him for 4 years for less money. The rams want to keep him long term the 120m for 6 is qb money. You dont morgage the future on a d linemen. What ad and his agent want.. Thats just bad business for the rams and the rams wont bite in it. Besides if ad sits out long enough it voids one year of his contract. So we would get to keep him a year after his contract would have expired. The rams hold all the cards in this situation. So the rams will do what is best for the rams.
