Ed "Pi Double i" HendersonWorldWide Rams The Los Angeles Rams have added wide-receiver, Austin Proehl to their practice squad. Proehl drafted in the seventh round of the 2018 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills. He played his college ball at the University of North Carolina, and his senior season was cut short due to injury. If the last name seems familiar, you are correct; he's the son of former St. Louis Rams Rickey Proehl. Proehl will forever be in the Rams memory as he caught the game-winning touchdown from Kurt Warner to send the Rams to Super Bowl XXXIV after defeating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Rams went on to beat the Tennessee Titans 23-16 to win their first Super Bowl. The Bills fulfilled their 53-man roster and didn't include Proehl to the team. However, he would be signed to the Titans practice squad but was released the very next day.
In a corresponding move, the Rams released wide receiver Steven Mitchell from the practice squad to make room for Proehl. Proehl the second generation to wear a Rams uniform will be eyed by fans hoping he as good as his dad once was as a player.
