Ed “Pi Double i” HendersonWorldWide Rams The Los Angeles Rams have signed rookie tight-end Johnny Mundt from the practice squad again after Derek Carrier is ruled out with an injured hamstring. This is Mundt’s second stint on the active roster, after making the original 53-man roster after the pre-season.
To the surprise of many, Mundt was kept and the former University of Utah quarterback and converted tight end Travis Wilson was cut. Mundt had his memorable moment in the pre-season, as he caught a pass broke a tackle and score a touchdown against the Green Bay Packers. Mundt brings depth to the roster as a tight end that can run and catch the ball vertically and as an okay pass blocker. To make room on the roster, the Rams released former fourth-round draft pick of the 2015 NFL Draft, Andrew Donnal from the University of Iowa, to make room on the roster for Mundt.
