Ed "Pi Double i" HendersonWorldWide Rams The Los Angeles Rams have released kicker Cairo Santos three weeks after signing him to the team. Santos whom the Rams signed while as kicker Greg Zuerlein recovered from his groin injury he suffered during pre-game against Arizona Cardinals.
Santos who kicked two game-winning field goals against the Seattle Seahawks and recent game against the Denver Broncos, was ok in his short time with the Rams. Despite missing two field goals and one point after attempt against the Seahawks which was crucial for the Rams which almost resulted in a loss. However, Santos was clutch as he nailed a 39-yard field goal with little under five minutes left in the game. The Rams defense held the Seahawks comeback of taking the lead by great defensive plays by linebacker Corey Littleton. Rams converted on a fourth and inches after a controversial spot from a second down run by Todd Gurley that clearly converted the first down. However, the referred placed the ball two yards short given the Rams a third down and two to convert. The NFL appears to have a carousal of kickers this season as kickers have missed plenty of kicks. Santos will get another opportunity this season if lucky, should other kicker continue to miss kicks.
