Living in Miami, he wanted to get far away from the violence that confronting him his entire life. Joseph made the trip north to Gainesville and signed with the Florida Gators that seemed to be a much fit. When he arrived at Florida, the coaching staff took advantage of his athleticism immediately playing him primarily on special teams. Joseph would become a starter his sophomore year and junior where lead the Gators in tackles with 93 tackles (nine tackles for loss), four sacks, and five pass deflections. During his career at Florida, he recorded 161 tackles (14 tackles-for-loss), four sacks, eight pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery. Game Film
#11 Vosean joseph vs. lsu (2018)

Strengths: Plays hard but not a consistently high urgent pursuer of the football. Thrives as a cleanup tackler. Regularly used as a blitzer and attacks his gap with urgency in those situations. Plays hard but not a consistently high urgent pursuer of the football. Thrives as a cleanup tackler. Regularly used as a blitzer and attacks his gap with urgency in those situations. Not shy of contact but limited play strength and balance makes it necessary for him to work around blocks.  Has some aggressive, physical finishes as a tackler on tape but snap-to-snap study reveals considerable variance. Regularly used as a blitzer and attacks his gap with urgency in those situations. Flows well laterally and showcases good straight line speed but a lack of quick processing skills and the ability to play through contact limits his range. When the path is clear and the angle is correct, he has the speed needed to cover ground. Flashes of short area burst are exciting, that has the ability to undercut or run around potentia blockers to make the tackle.

Weaknesses: Struggles with diagnosing the play concepts and reacting quickly enough get in front of blocks. Can be incredibly inconsistent with reading action and often takes the bait with fakes and gets engulfed out of position. Joseph needs to balance himself a lot better to ensure that he is under control and can cleanly challenge a ball carrier during the pursuit. Extension skills and hand utilization are sorely lacking, gives up his chest too cleanly and will get caught in the trash instead of popping off of a body and continuing in pursuit. Does not have the contact balance or hitting power to stack and shed blocks regularly.  Slow reads lead him into junk.

Draft Grade: 5.71

Draft Projection: 4th - 6th Round

Does He Fit?: Possibly, but will need to clean up alot flaws in his game. A bit undersized at inside linebacker but can manage to get around blockers. A project but will be a special team ace. Passing downs is a plus as he's a great blitzer. Joseph does not like pretty on film, however he just comes up making huge plays.
