GAME FILM
#89 Brycen Hopkins VS WISCONSIN (2019)

#89 Brycen Hopkins highlights

Strengths: He is an athletic, wide-receiver built inside a tight-end frame. Very fast with the second-fastest 40-time for tight ends at the 2020 NFL Combine. He has excellent natural, big, and reliable hands catching his passes away from his bodies. He is a mismatch against most linebackers and safety with his athletic body and ability to be productive of the entire route tree. He can create separation by stretching the field vertically by his intermediate routes. He is a good blocker downfield on a one-on-one blocking technique.

Weaknesses: His athletic frame does lack the physicality of the tightend prerequisites. On the offensive line, he cannot move the defender just stalemate blocks. As a lead blocker, he not strong enough in that area either.  He does not break tackles, which keeps his yards after catch low. Low targeted throws, he does struggle to make the catch.

Draft Grade: 5.94

Draft Projection:  2nd - 4th round

NFL Comparison: Travis Kelce
